Aussiedoodles are low shedding dogs
All dogs will shed a little, no matter what you have been told! They lose their puppy fur, shed their summer coat, and also shed their winter coat. Here are some facts about Aussiedoodles shedding:
- Aussiedoodle F1 breeds will shed a little more than other levels of Aussiedoodles. However, by routinely brushing your dog, you are picking up the loose fur as it is coming out and minimize the fur that falls off. They will not shed like the Australian Shepard.
- Multi-gens have fur closest to Poodle hair (without being the poodle) as you can get. As the fur falls out, it will hold on to other attached fur. So, without brushing you can expect to get some matting.
- For people with allergies to dander, consider an F1B or a multi-gen. The best thing to do before you purchase a puppy is do your homework to know which level is best for your home situation. Home visits are always welcome if you have any type of allergy and want to be sure!
